University of Hawaii at Hilo senior Tyler Simao finished his collegiate baseball career with a win, and thanks to that win, he’ll also receiver the final PacWest Pitcher of the Week award, announced Tuesday by the PacWest offices.

Simao earned his second and final win of the season on Tuesday, May 1, when he pitched a complete game shutout against Academy of Art University in the first game of that day’s doubleheader. Simao allowed only six hits, while striking out eight and walking three, in his team’s 4-0 win over the Urban Knights.

The senior from Makakilo finished the season with a 2-7 record, posting a 5.43 ERA and allowing opponents to hit .307 against him.
