After months of working on individual pieces and group projects, dancers of every variety will showcase their efforts on stage on May 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo Pacific Arts Center.

At least 100 dancers participate in this highly anticipated school event. This crowd- pleasing performance has everyone in the seats tapping, and at night’s end, on their feet with raucous applause and whistles.

Dancers will display their talents in jazz, ballet, modern, and musical ensembles. Senior dancer, Shane Emerson will showcase his choreography and athleticism with breakdancing. Hawai’i Community College instructor and Artistic Director of O-T-O Dance, Annie Bunker will present work from her Aerial dance and modern or jazz dance classes.  Aerial dance utilizes the open space from ground to air, and emphasizes smooth transitions and partnering skills; dance is transformed in the air.

Tickets for the event are highly affordable at $6 for general and just $4 for faculty and staff, students, children and seniors.  For more information call 974-7310.
