BIIF Softball Tournament Update – April 28

Home field was important in the semifinals of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division II softball tournament, as Kamehameha-Hawaii and Kohala advanced to the championship game.

Kamehameha-Hawaii defeated Honoka’a 7-1, while Kohala defeated Konawaena 5-2. Both winners will play at Kamehameha-Hawaii’s campus at 1:00 p.m. for a seeded berth into the Datahouse / Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II Softball Tournament. Honoka’a will host Konawaena in a third place game to determine the last of the three teams to make it to the big dance.

Meanwhile, Kea’au will host Moanalua today at 10:00 a.m. to determine the last berth into the Datahouse / HHSAA Division I Softball Tournament. Na Menehune of Moanalua is the sixth-place team out of the Oahu Interscholastic Association.
