A Hawaii County police official has confirmed that one person has died and three others were injured after a traffic accident on Kaiminani Drive in Kailua-Kona.

The victim was identified as 42-year-old Sheila Goto from Holualoa.

The accident was reported by local police at 9.33 a.m., when a utility truck with a bucket lift attachment allegedly clipped a low hanging wire above the road.

The force of the collision forced the truck to fall on its side, with part of the truck landing on a Ford truck on the opposite side of the road. The person who was killed was the driver of the Ford vehicle.
